Our story began in the halls of high school back in 2008, where we first crossed paths and forged a strong friendship. This bond deepened over the years, eventually blossoming into a romantic relationship in 2015.

Our relationship has been a journey of growth, both individually and as a couple. Our significant academic milestones stand out as a key highlight of this shared evolution. Liana has excelled, having completed her MSc in Entomology and is on the cusp of earning her PhD this year. Brent, after navigating a few academic twists and turns, found his passion in mathematics and statistics, successfully completing his MSc in Statistics and now has his sights set on a PhD.

We've shared countless joys and faced our share of sorrows, with each experience strengthening our bond and bringing us closer. We consistently have the best time together and remain, at our core, the best of friends, despite our very different personalities. Liana's fascination with insects often sparks Brent's playful nature and some good-natured teasing— a running joke in our relationship. Liana's habit of relocating "creepy crawlies" in the house often elicits Brent's “mock” protests, met with her classic retort, "You know who you're dating/marrying!" Brent's humorous nature and endless silly jokes are a constant source of amusement, often resulting in Liana's characteristic eye-roll followed by an inevitable smile.

Given our long history, discussions about marriage and our future were a regular part of our conversations. The proposal itself was perfectly "us"—a sweet, intimate moment shared just between the two of us, perfectly reflecting Liana's reserved nature.

Now, this October, we're incredibly excited to be tying the knot, a true testament to the years we've spent building a life together. We, together with Jose and Margaret, now invite you to join us as we celebrate the culmination of our journey as individuals and the beginning of our forever together.
